  • BOS Center Fielder #19

Roman Anthony hit his first major-league home run to help the Red Sox to a 2-0 win over the Mariners on Monday.
Anthony’s first big-league round-tripper came off Logan Gilbert in the first inning. The 21-year-old went hitless for the remainder of the contest, and he’s hitting just .095 since being promoted from Triple-A Worcester. Still, this was a reminder that Anthony possesses immense talent, and it seems likely that more balls are going to find their way over the fence in the coming weeks.

Matt Wallner hit a two-run homer in a blowout win over the Mariners on Thursday for the Twins.
Wallner smashed a homer to left-center that extended Minnesota’s lead to 10-0. The power-hitting outfielder has homered seven times in 2025,, and the roundtripper helps his slugging percentage bump up to .442. He’s also hitting just .209 in 2025, and he’s the very definition of a one-category player over the first half of the campaign.
'Move on' from Diamondbacks' Gallen in fantasy
With inflated numbers across the board this year and little hope for a quick turnaround, Zac Gallen has made himself droppable in all fantasy baseball formats, minus NL-only leagues.
  • MIN Shortstop #2
Brooks Lee hit a solo homer in a blowout win for the Twins on Thursday over the Mariners.
Lee hit a solo homer off Zach Pop in the sixth inning to give the Twins a 3-0 lead. Minnesota would end up scoring another seven runs in the inning. It’s been a strong month of June for the 24-year-old, as Lee has now homered four times with a .907 OPS over those 77 at-bats since the end of May.
  • MIN Right Fielder #9
Trevor Larnach delivered a two-run homer and drove in three runs to help the Twins to a 10-1 rout of the Mariners on Thursday.
In a scoreless game in the fifth inning, Larnach smoked a two-run homer off Emerson Hancock to give the Twins a 2-0 lead. They’d score the next eight in a game that ended up being a rout, but it doesn’t happen without Larnach. He also drive in a run on a fielder’s choice in an eight-run sixth inning. Larnach has homered 12 times over the first half of the campaign, and he’s plated 39 runs. Those aren’t elite numbers, but there’s been some strong moments for Larnach over his first 282 at-bats.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #26
Emerson Hancock allowed just two runs over five innings but still took a loss to the Twins on Thursday.
Hancock was shellacked for four homers and nine runs in his previous start, so this was a marked improvement. It also helped he wasn’t pitching in a windstorm like he did against the Cubs, but the stuff looked better. Unfortunately, he got a goose egg of run support, and a two-run homer by Trevor Larnach was enough. Hancock’s 5.30 ERA is a bit misleading as it’s mostly based on two horrific starts, and he’ll be back on the bump against the Royals on Tuesday.
  • MIN Starting Pitcher #24
Simeon Woods Richardson blanked the Mariners over five innings while picking up a win for the Twins on Thursday.
Woods Richardson struck out six and allowed just two hits with one walk in one of his best starts of the season. He did allow two doubles, but the runners never advanced past second and he was able to procure nine swings and misses on 82 pitches. Woods Richardson still owns an ugly 4.63 ERA, but he’ll have a friendly matchup on paper when he faces the Marlins on Tuesday.
  • SEA Catcher #18
Mitch Garver will undergo additional testing after leaving Thursday’s contest against the Twins after he took a foul ball off of his jaw during the fifth inning.
The ball seemed to hit just inside his face mask and caught Garver flush on the chin/jaw area. He’ll undergo additional imaging on Thursday, the results of which aren’t expected to be known until Friday. Harry Ford was subsequently scratched from his game at Triple-A Tacoma on Friday and would be an option to join the M’s on Friday if Garver is forced to land on the injured list.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #46
The Mets announced that Griffin Canning was removed from Thursday’s start against the Braves due to a left ankle injury.
He’ll undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. Canning sustained the injury during the third inning of his start against the Braves as he went to back up third base on a ground ball to the shortstop. Expect the Mets to pass along more information as it becomes available. At this stage, it would be surprising if Canning wasn’t headed to the injured list.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #46
Griffin Canning was pulled from Thursday’s start against the Braves in the third inning due to an apparent left leg injury.
Canning delivered a pitch to Nick Allen that resulted in a ground out to the shortstop, but he hopped off the mound and fell to the ground, clutching his leg. The training staff ultimately had to help support the right-hander as he hobbled off the field. He’ll head for testing to see exactly what’s going on there, but it didn’t look good. Look for the Mets to provide an update on his status as soon as more information becomes available.
  • LAA Shortstop #10
Angels activated INF Kevin Newman from the paternity list.
The 31-year-old was away from the team for a couple of days as he welcomed a new addition to the family. He returns to an underwhelming .195/.205/.221 slash line with zero homers, four RBI and one stolen base through his first 79 plate appearances with the Halos. Kyren Paris was optioned back to Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move.
  • MIA Catcher #50
Agustín Ramírez went 3-for-5 with a homer, double and three RBI on Thursday, leading the Marlins in a 12-5 rout over the Giants in San Francisco.
The hard-hitting 23-year-old backstop doubled off of Hayden Birdsong in the opening inning and rode home on a three-run blast by Kyle Stowers. He then did some yardwork of his own with a 443-foot (109.7 mph EV) two-run blast off of Birdsong in the third inning that increased the Marlins’ lead to 5-0. He also chipped in a run-scoring single during the eighth inning. He has impressed through his first 235 plate appearances in the big leagues, slashing .247/.294/.466 with 12 homers, 30 RBI and one stolen base.
